This 1944 daily journal from Mrs. Clara Anderson, wife of Mr. Perry Anderson, details the events of her life in the Still Pond area of Kent County. The Andersons were domestic workers for aristocratic white patrons in the Delaware and Tri-state areas.. Mr. Perry Anderson was a teacher in the Still Pond one-room schoolhouse.  He was also a traveling domestic worker.  The journals detail births, deaths and burials of local residents, relatives, and persons of note, as well as describing daily activities, animal husbandry, and the weather.
