Certificate of Merit Given to Carolyn Brooks by the Star Temple Lodge #1141, 1962. It states that she is receiving recognition from the Elks Lodge of Rock Hall, MD for her "character, scholarship, and loyalty." It was signed on June 7th, 1962, right around when Carolyn would have graduated from Garnet High School in Chestertown.
