John and Dorothy Brooks' Newly Built Home in the Snow. This house was built for John and Dorothy with help from their children in the early 1970's. Carolyn Brooks, their youngest child, says that "even though both parents had passed away by 1978, we thank God for letting us show how much we appreciated the sacrifices they made so that we had the opportunity to go to college and build better lives for ourselves." The house was torn down in June 2013 and new home was built on the property in Coleman, MD. 1970 – 1974
