Shirley Jones Crowned "Miss Garnet", Circa 1960. Shirley attended the all African American Garnet High School in Chestertown, Maryland. In the photo she resembles Garnet's version of a prom queen. Garnet High has since been replaced by the integrated Henry Highland Garnet Elementary School.
