Dr. Edwin  S. Shirley, Jr. Home-going Service program, Saturday, October 7, 2006, 10:30 AM. Held at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, Miami Florida at the Range Funeral Home.  Dr. Shirley was LaMonte Cooke's uncle.  He was Dr. Martin Luther King's physician. Dr. Shirley was also a member of the Grand Boulé Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity along with Dr. King. Shirley is the brother of the main character Dr. Donald Shirley in the movie The Green Book. Dr. Shirley's wife, Iris Mays Shirley, grew up on Cannon St. in Chestertown.  The house at 340 Cannon St. is still standing and is next to the house of mayoral candidate Armond Fletcher at 338 Cannon St. October 7 2006
