A one-page history of African American Freemasons in Maryland. The history includes the first African American lodge, the Friendship Lodge No. 6, created in 1825 as well as the creation of other Lodges, including two Grand Lodges from 1825 - 1917. The history also includes several important events including the presentation of Abraham Lincoln with a bible after the Emancipation Proclamation and a meeting with Edward VII of England.
