A newsletter reiterating the Auxiliary's purpose, laid out by its founder Delia Caulk. Gives a list of contributions the organization made to the hospital during the span of its existence.

The Chester River Hospital Center Auxiliary, Inc., was formed in 1959 by Mrs. Delia Caulk.
She had a vision, saw a need and went to work. Mrs. Caulk was the first president. Her dream
has lasted forty-six years.

One purpose is to get black communities involved in making contributions to the Hospital when
needed. Over the past forty-six years we have made many, many contributions ot the Hospital. 
Just to name a few

Just to name a few:
    Two chairs to Same-Day Surgery room
Several $1,000 pledges
Pledged and paid $3,000 to building fund
$1,000 Medical library
$1,000 Hand-held pulse oximeter
$ 600 table for oximeter
Three refirgerators to Pediatric Unit
Chair for Chemotherapy Unit
Oxygen Analyzer and Oxygen Flowmeter
$500 to Kidney Dialysis Center
Five OTO scope lights for Emergency Room at $300 each 
Wheelchair and recliner
6 polecats for patient wheels chairs
Bromedical tool kit for Clinical Engineering

The Hospital has recognized us by placing our unit name on a door on the third floor and the
steel bulletin board in the sun room on the second floor.

April is membership month. Due are $5.00 per year. If you, or members of your church are
interested in becoming a member, please designate someone in your chuch to collect the dues
and contact me at [phone number] after 5:00 p.m. Meeting at Janes United Methodist Church. 
Time 7:30 p..m. Covered Dish. Regular Meeting - 4th Monday each month at diferent 
churches. 

We hope you will help us to continue the dream of Mrs. Delia Caulk.
