The Kent & Queen Anne’s Hospital Auxiliary, Inc., Unit #2 was formed in 1959 by Mrs. Delia Caulk. She
had a vision, saw a need, and went to work. She was the first president. Her dream has lasted forty-four years.
Our purpose is to get the black communities involved in making contributions to the Hospital when
needed.Over the past forty-four years we have made many, many contributions to the Hospital. Just to name a few:
Two chairs to Same-Day Surgery room
Several $1,000 pledges
Pledged and paid $3,000 to building fund
$1,000 to Medical Library
$1,000 Hand-held pulse oximeter
$600 table for oximeter
Three refrigerators to Pediatric Unit
Chair for Chemotherapy Unit
Oxygen Analyzer and Oxgen Flowmeter
$500 to Kidney Dialysis Center
Five OTO scope lights for Emergency Room at $300 each
The Hospital has recognized us by placing our unit name on a door on the third floor and the large steel bulletin board in the sun room on the second floor.
April is membership month. The dues are $5.00 per year. If you are interested in becoming a member,
please ask someone in your church to collect the dues and contact me at [phone number] after 5:00 p.m.
We hope you will help us to continue the dream of Mrs. Delia Caulk
Yours truly,
Shirley Tate, President
