Alphonsa Blake instructs Wickes to pay Mr. Sparks ten dollars to go to Still Pond and return Harry to Daniel Hanes residence. They believe Harry will not be insolent or resistant with Mr. Sparks. Blake also wants to know the house in Still Pond were Harry was staying and see that his wages are docked.
