Alphonsa Blake is requesting advice on how much to charge for the hire of their enslaved African Americans, they describe their general health and any relevant skills. They have only hired one sixteen year old man before for thirty dollars but he was not able to cut wheat or make bails. They are also seeking to hire a female cook and lists what they are looking for.
