In this video Carolyn K. Erwin discusses the importance of Black community at Washington College. She recalls her time at the college as the only Black member of the class on 1970 and how she found community amongst the African American maids, maintenance workers, and other embers of the town. She advises all current and future students of color at Washington College to welcome community and to not let the perception of others prevent them from embracing each other.  May 5 2020
