The Ringgold family standing together in their grandparents living room on Easter Sunday, 1958. Airlee Ringgold Johnson stands on the far right. Her grandfather, George, dressed in a shirt and tie, stands behind her. His wife, Essie, stands on the other side of him. In the front, next to Airlee Ringgold Johnson, are her two younger sisters, Muriel and Rochelle, wearing matching dresses. Behind the family is a television, and her great grandmother's childhood rocking chair along with a couch, some plants, and wall decorations. 1958
