Letter in the Committee of Public Health scrapbook from Dr. R. G. Beachley, Deputy State Health Officer of the Maryland Department of Health Sixteenth Sanitary District Kent County to the Grading Committee, dated January 15, 1936. The letters certifies that 100% of African American and 90% of white school children in the county have been immunized against diphtheria. It also states that Schick tests for continued immunity were only conducted on white children.
